Four Ball Georgian Shuffle

I just added another section on the Georgian Shuffle page for the four ball Georgian Shuffle and variations to that trick. I have worked on some other variations with the three ball version (which there are probably an infinite number :), and if all goes well I'll be able to video some of those tricks and get them up on the site as well. Hopefully some of you will find these interesting and can learn some new tricks as well as start coming up with your own ideas and variations on the patterns.

Additional youtube videos with claymotion

I added a few links to the claymotion videos page which have some youtube videos with claymotion moves in them. the first two are more of a works in progress response to my Claymotion Freestyle video, and the other one is an overall excellent video of Steve Hoggan doing some claymotion and multiplex moves with three, four, and five balls. Be sure to check them out.

Four ball claymotion

Whew, it's been too long since I posted any new tricks. For this update I have just added a number of four ball claymotion tricks to the claymotionjuggling.com web site. I don't think I have seen anyone doing claymotion style moves with four balls, so hopefully this will be new to a lot of you. Most of the four ball tricks are some basic moves to start out with, and hopefully I can get some more up on the site soon. I have quite a bit more stuff lined up to put on the site, it's all just a matter of how much time I can find to do some video and editing. So keep checking back.

Claymotion Freestyle

I just added a video to the claymotion juggling web site. This is a compilation of some clips I shot while filming the claymotion tricks videos. There is no real start, stop, or direction as I was juggling, just freestylin' it and seeing where things went. It'll give you a little bit of an idea of stringing some of the claymotion tricks together. Hopefully you'll be able to learn some of the tricks and then create your own style.

Observations on the Georgian Shuffle

The Georgian Shuffle is a very nice multiplex trick, and a number of variations of the trick are used in claymotion juggling. I started looking into this trick a bit and came up with some fun observations. I created a web page with what I found as well as videos of some of the variations. You can check it out under the "Related items" at claymotionjuggling.com. Here is the direct URL:

I have quite a few other items that I have in mind to add to the site. Hopefully I'll be getting to those in the near future, so keep checking back.

Claymotion Juggling website

The Claymotion Juggling website is finally up and open to the world. At the beginning of this year I got the claymotionjuggling.com domain name and had the goal to start it and add tricks, info and whatever else before the end of the year (which I did, woohoo). So far I have added a introductory claymotion tutorial, a number of tricks, and hopefully addressed some questions that may have been asked about claymotion.

After I posted the claymotion tutorial to the rec.juggling group, Reuben had a post on his juggling blog addressing the bigger set of start-stop juggling tricks. I agree that claymotion is just a sub-category of start-stop tricks, and if you have not read Reuben's blog you need to go there and check out some of his posts. He's a very intelligent talented young juggler that has lots of great insights on trick categories. I always look forward to his new posts.

Today I added a couple more claymotion tricks, arm rolls. In the next day or so I'll be adding a page covering some juggling tricks that are related to claymotion style moves.

Enter the blogsphere

This is a blog that goes with the web site claymotionjuggling.com site.

I have been going back and forth as to whether I wanted to start this blog or not. I finally decided that it'd be a good idea for a couple reasons. First, I can add entries in this blog whenever I add content to the claymotionjuggling.com site. Then people can check this blog for any updates rather than the "What's New" web page (with the added benefit of have rss feeds and such to automatically inform you when updates are made). Second I can use the blog to comment on any related videos, juggling sites, rec.juggling posts, other blogs, etc.. I don't anticipate that I'll have many posts in the second category, which is why I have never set up a blog in the past.

So be sure to check out this blog if you want to keep updated on claymotion juggling and the claymotionjuggling.com web site.
